Data Licensing Terms

Last updated July 8, 2026 · Version 2026-07-08-draft

Plain-language summary (not the binding text)

FAUCET data is licensed for your own use. Reselling it, or building it into a product or service you offer to others, requires a separate OEM/data-licensing agreement with us. Doing either without that agreement is a breach of these terms and of our Terms of Service, and we can pursue legal action over it, including seeking to stop the use and recover damages and costs.

This summary is a convenience and is not binding; the sections below are the operative terms.

1. Definitions

"FAUCET Data" means the enrichment, scoring, predictions, mappings, and other output FAUCET generates from public vulnerability information, including the FAUCET Risk Score, exploit predictions, per-source attribution, and CPE/CWE/CNA mappings.

"Source Data" means the underlying public vulnerability information FAUCET aggregates, for example from MITRE, NVD, CISA KEV, and vendor or CNA advisories.

"Redistribute" means to make FAUCET Data available, in whole or in part, and in raw, aggregated, derived, or reformatted form, to any person or system outside your organization, including by resale, sublicense, publication, API pass-through, or incorporation into a product or service you offer to others.

2. Scope of your license

Access to FAUCET, at any tier including Free, is licensed to you for your own use and, where you use FAUCET on behalf of an organization, your organization's own internal vulnerability-management purposes. It is not a license to Redistribute FAUCET Data.

Pro and Team subscriptions additionally grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access FAUCET Data through the API and the MCP server, for those same internal purposes, subject to the Terms of Service and your plan's rate limits.

References to "Pro" and "Team" in these terms include any successor or additional paid tier we may offer, unless we say otherwise.

3. What your license does not include

  • Redistributing FAUCET Data, as defined above, to any third party, whether for free or for a fee.
  • Incorporating FAUCET Data into a product, service, dataset, tool, feature, or internal system you make available to anyone outside your own organization.
  • Creating a derived dataset from FAUCET Data for Redistribution, or using FAUCET Data to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or improve a competing model, product, or dataset that you offer or intend to offer to others.
  • Bulk extraction, scraping, or automated collection beyond your plan's documented API/MCP allowances, or any attempt to reconstruct bulk access through repeated manual use.
  • Removing, obscuring, or altering FAUCET attribution or source labeling on any FAUCET Data you are authorized to export.
  • Using a Free account, trial, or any other access tier as a workaround to obtain FAUCET Data for a purpose this section prohibits.

4. OEM / redistribution licensing

If you want to embed FAUCET Data or enrichment inside another security product, resell it, or otherwise Redistribute it, that is available under a separate OEM/data-licensing agreement. Contact(or use the Partnerships contact form) to scope terms.

5. Attribution and source data

FAUCET aggregates and enriches public vulnerability sources. Your license is to FAUCET's service and FAUCET Data; it does not grant rights in Source Data beyond what those sources allow. Any required attributions will be specified in the applicable agreement.

6. Enforcement

Unauthorized Redistribution, or any other use of FAUCET Data outside the scope of your license under Section 2, is a material breach of these Data Licensing Terms and of the Terms of Service.

If we believe you have violated this section, we may, without notice: suspend or terminate your account and access to FAUCET, and pursue any remedy available to us at law or in equity, including injunctive relief to stop the unauthorized use, damages, and recovery of our costs and reasonable attorneys' fees.

Termination for violation of this section does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid. Final enforcement mechanics are subject to counsel review.

7. Relationship to the Terms of Service

These terms supplement the FAUCET Terms of Service. If they conflict on data use, these Data Licensing Terms control for that subject. Final terms are subject to counsel review.
