CVE-2026-34397

21
FAUCET Score

CVE-2026-34397 is a conditional local privilege escalation vulnerability found in the Himmelblau interoperability suite for Microsoft Azure Entra ID and Intune, affecting versions prior to 2.3.9 and 3.1.1. The flaw allows an authenticated user, whose mapped name exactly matches a privileged local group name (e.g., "sudo"), to trick the system's NSS module into resolving that group name to their fake primary group. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 6.3), exploitation requires local access and high attack complexity, but can result in high confidentiality and integrity impact by granting the attacker the privileges of the matched group. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
