CVE-2026-3306 is an improper authorization vulnerability affecting GitHub Enterprise Server. It allowed a user with read access to a repository and write access to a project to modify issue and pull request metadata by bypassing repository write permission checks when adding an existing item to a project. Rated as Medium severity (CVSS 4.3), this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires low privileges, resulting in a low impact on data integrity. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion for this CVE. The vulnerability has been addressed in GitHub Enterprise Server versions 3.14.24, 3.15.19, 3.16.15, 3.17.12, 3.18.6 and 3.19.3.
