CVE-2026-27129 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) bypass vulnerability affecting Craft CMS versions 4.5.0-RC1 through 4.16.18 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.8.22. The vulnerability arises because the GraphQL Asset mutation's SSRF validation uses gethostbyname(), which fails to properly resolve IPv6-only hostnames, allowing blocklist comparisons to be bypassed. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.5) requires authenticated users with specific GraphQL schema permissions to edit and create assets.
