CVE-2026-20110 is a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability affecting the Command Line Interface (CLI) of Cisco IOS XE Software, caused by incorrect privilege assignments for the 'start maintenance' command. An authenticated, low-privileged local attacker can exploit this with low complexity to force the device into maintenance mode, shutting down interfaces and resulting in a high-impact DoS. This vulnerability is rated Medium with a CVSS score of 6.5. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, nor are public exploit codes available.
