CVE-2025-9565 describes a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Blocksy Companion WordPress plugin, affecting all versions up to and including 2.1.10. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious web scripts through the blocksy_newsletter_subscribe shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.4) allows for arbitrary script execution when a user views an affected page, potentially leading to information disclosure or session hijacking.
