CVE-2025-8588 describes a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Gutenberg Blocks – PublishPress Blocks plugin for WordPress, affecting versions up to and including 3.3.4. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.4) allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious web scripts into pages via the 'Marker Title' and 'Marker Description' parameters of the Maps block. When a user views an injected page, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data theft.
