CVE-2025-65099 describes a critical code execution vulnerability in Anthropic Claude Code versions prior to 1.0.39. This flaw allowed an attacker to execute arbitrary code via Yarn plugins if a user launched Claude Code in an untrusted directory while using Yarn 3.0 or higher, bypassing the startup trust dialog. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability presents a high risk due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the vulnerability has been patched in version 1.0.39, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
