CVE-2025-61597 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Emlog versions 2.5.21 and below, stemming from an HTML template injection in the mail template settings. This medium-severity flaw (CVSS 5.4) allows an authenticated attacker to inject malicious JavaScript, leading to session/token theft and potential full administrator account takeover upon subsequent visits to the settings page. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion, and it is not listed in CISA's KEV catalog. The issue is resolved in Emlog version 2.5.22.
