CVE-2025-40576 is a vulnerability in Siemens SCALANCE LPE9403 (all versions below V4.0 HF0) where improper validation of incoming Profinet packets can lead to a crash of the dcpd process. This flaw has a CVSS score of 4.3 (Medium) and can be exploited by an unauthenticated remote attacker on the same network segment by sending a specially crafted malicious packet, resulting in a denial of service.
