CVE-2025-22894 is an unprotected Windows messaging channel vulnerability (Shatter attack) affecting Hummingheads Defense Platform Home Edition versions 3.9.51.x and earlier. An attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted message to a specific process, leading to alteration of arbitrary system files and potential arbitrary DLL execution with SYSTEM privileges. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (HIGH), this local attack requires low privileges and complexity, but can result in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
