CVE-2025-20184 describes a command injection vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco AsyncOS Software for Cisco Secure Email Gateway and Cisco Secure Web Appliance. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by uploading a specially crafted XML configuration file due to insufficient validation. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.2) allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges on the underlying operating system.
