CVE-2025-14799

22
FAUCET Score

CVE-2025-14799 is an authorization bypass vulnerability affecting the Brevo - Email, SMS, Web Push, Chat, and more. WordPress plugin, in all versions up to and including 3.3.0. This flaw stems from the plugin's use of loose comparison (==) instead of strict comparison (===) when validating an installation ID in a REST API endpoint. Unauthenticated attackers can exploit this by sending a boolean 'true' value for the 'id' parameter, leveraging PHP type juggling to bypass authorization. The vulnerability carries a CVSS score of 6.5 (MEDIUM), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and no user interaction required. Successful exploitation allows attackers to disconnect the Brevo integration, delete the API key, remove subscription forms, and reset plugin settings, resulting in low integrity and availability impacts. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, and no public exploit code is available on platforms like Metasploit, Nuclei, or ExploitDB. Community discussion and media coverage for this CVE are minimal, which is typical for a large percentage of reported vulnerabilities.
