CVE-2024-7656 is a high-severity PHP Object Injection vulnerability affecting all versions up to 1.2.5 of the Image Hotspot by DevVN plugin for WordPress. Authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher can exploit this by injecting a PHP Object through untrusted input deserialization. While the plugin itself lacks a direct exploit chain, the presence of a separate POP chain in other installed plugins or themes could lead to arbitrary file deletion, sensitive data retrieval, or remote code execution. Currently, there is no known active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
