CVE-2024-7301 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WordPress File Upload plugin, versions up to and including 4.24.8. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts by uploading specially crafted SVG files, which execute when a user accesses the file. Rated 6.1 MEDIUM on the CVSS scale, it requires user interaction (accessing the SVG file) but can lead to information disclosure and defacement. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
