CVE-2024-55412 is a vulnerability in the SUNIX Serial Driver x64 (snxpsamd.sys version 10.1.0.0) that permits low-privileged users to read and write to arbitrary I/O ports through specially crafted IOCTL requests. This high-severity flaw (CVSS 7.8) can lead to privilege escalation, arbitrary code execution, and information disclosure, and may also bypass Microsoft's driver-signing policy. While the vulnerability has a high potential impact, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion.
