CVE-2024-54092 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting numerous versions of Siemens Industrial Edge Device Kit and related Industrial Edge devices. The flaw, rated 9.8 CVSS, stems from improper user authentication enforcement on specific API endpoints when identity federation is utilized, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to impersonate legitimate users. Successful exploitation requires prior or current use of identity federation and knowledge of a legitimate user's identity.
