CVE-2024-40595 is an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting the RDP component of One Identity Safeguard for Privileged Sessions (SPS) On Premise versions prior to 7.5.1 (and LTS before 7.0.5.1). This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.3) allows man-in-the-middle attackers on the adjacent network to intercept cleartext RDP protocol information, gaining unauthorized access to privileged sessions on target resources. The attack requires high complexity due to the man-in-the-middle prerequisite.
