CVE-2024-3387 describes a weak device certificate in Palo Alto Networks Panorama software, allowing a sophisticated attacker to conduct a man-in-the-middle (MitM) attack. This vulnerability, rated Medium (CVSS 5.3), could enable an attacker with sufficient computing resources to decrypt and expose sensitive traffic between the Panorama server and managed firewalls. While the attack complexity is high and user interaction is required, the potential impact is a complete compromise of confidentiality. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
