CVE-2024-31489 is an improper certificate validation vulnerability affecting FortiClientWindows, FortiClientLinux, and FortiClientMac versions 7.0.0-7.0.11 and 7.2.0-7.2.2 (Windows), 7.2.0 (Linux), and 7.2.0-7.2.4 (Mac). This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.1) allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to perform a Man-in-the-Middle attack during ZTNA tunnel creation due to high attack complexity.
