CVE-2024-20339 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in the TLS processing feature of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software for Firepower 2100 Series devices. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this by sending specially crafted IPv4 TLS traffic, causing the device to reload and disrupt network services. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, leading to a complete loss of availability.
