CVE-2024-2008 is a high-severity PHP Object Injection vulnerability affecting the Modal Popup Box – Popup Builder WordPress plugin, versions up to and including 1.5.2. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access can exploit this by injecting PHP Objects through deserialization of untrusted input. If a suitable POP chain exists, this could lead to arbitrary file deletion, sensitive data retrieval, or remote code execution. Currently, there is no public exploit code available, no evidence of active exploitation, and minimal community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
