CVE-2023-6006 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting PaperCut NG and MF on Windows. It allows a local attacker with write access to the C Drive to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM by exploiting a flaw in the pc-pdl-to-image process, which loads an executable from an unsecured location. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 6.7 (Medium) due to its low attack complexity and low privileges required in a worst-case scenario where administrators grant local login access to standard users.
