CVE-2023-48692 is a critical remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability affecting Microsoft Azure RTOS NetX Duo, a TCP/IP stack for embedded and IoT devices. This memory overflow flaw, present in versions 6.2.1 and below, impacts various network protocols including ICMP, TCP, SNMP, DHCP, NAT, and FTP. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), it allows unauthenticated attackers to achieve full compromise (confidentiality, integrity, availability) over the network with low attack complexity.
