CVE-2023-45686 describes a path traversal vulnerability in South River Technologies' Titan MFT and Titan SFTP servers on Linux. An authenticated attacker can exploit insufficient path validation during WebDAV file writes to place files in arbitrary locations on the filesystem. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.2) allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, requiring high privileges but no user interaction. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
