CVE-2023-43776 describes a vulnerability in Eaton easyE4 PLCs where the device password, intended for secure access, is stored using a weak encoding algorithm within the *.PRG program file when exported to an SD card. This flaw, rated Medium severity (CVSS 6.6), allows an attacker with physical access to the SD card to potentially recover the password, leading to high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts.
