CVE-2023-41332 is a low-severity denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cilium versions 1.12.x, 1.13.x, and 1.14.x when the Layer 7 proxy is disabled. An authenticated attacker with privileges to schedule workloads can trigger a Cilium agent segfault on a specific node by using a specially crafted proxy-visibility annotation. This leads to a denial of service on that node, preventing new workloads and changes to existing ones, though existing traffic continues to flow. The CVSS score is 3.5 (Low), indicating a low attack complexity and limited impact. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
