CVE-2023-38313 is a Denial-of-Service vulnerability affecting OpenNDS Captive Portal versions prior to 10.1.2. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger a NULL pointer dereference by sending a specially crafted HTTP GET request with a missing client redirect parameter, causing the OpenNDS service to crash. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), indicating it is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction required, leading to a complete loss of availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
