CVE-2023-36498 is a post-authentication command injection vulnerability found in the PPTP client functionality of Tp-Link ER7206 Omada Gigabit VPN Router firmware version 1.3.0 build 20230322 Rel.70591. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.2) allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands and gain an unrestricted shell by sending a specially crafted HTTP request. While the attack complexity is low, requiring prior authentication, the potential impact includes complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
