An unauthenticated attacker can crash the server by sending a specially crafted NTP packet with a short NTS cookie, or if the server is not configured for NTS. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), indicating a network-based attack with low complexity and high impact on availability. A patch was released in version 0.3.3.
