CVE-2023-26293 is a path traversal vulnerability affecting Siemens TIA Portal versions V15, V16 (prior to Update 7), V17 (prior to Update 6), and V18 (prior to Update 1). This flaw allows an attacker to create or overwrite arbitrary files on an engineering system. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), successful exploitation, which requires user interaction to open a malicious PC system configuration file, could lead to arbitrary code execution. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
