CVE-2023-22784 describes critical buffer overflow vulnerabilities in multiple underlying services of HP ArubaOS and InstantOS. These flaws allow unauthenticated remote code execution by sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI UDP port (8211). With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), successful exploitation grants an attacker arbitrary code execution as a privileged user on the affected operating system, requiring no user interaction. Currently, there is no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is it listed on the CISA KEV catalog, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
