CVE-2023-21835 is a partial denial-of-service vulnerability in the JSSE component of Oracle Java SE and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition, affecting versions 11.0.17, 17.0.5, 19.0.1, 20.3.8, 21.3.4, and 22.3.0 respectively. This easily exploitable flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access via DTLS to cause a partial denial of service. It primarily impacts Java deployments running untrusted code in sandboxed environments, not server-side deployments with trusted code. Rated with a CVSS 3.1 Base Score of 5.3 (Medium), the vulnerability has a low impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
