CVE-2023-20147 describes multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of several Cisco Small Business RV series routers (RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV320, and RV325). These vulnerabilities stem from insufficient input validation, allowing an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary script code or access sensitive browser information by crafting malicious HTTP requests and tricking a user into visiting specific web pages. With a CVSS score of 6.1 (Medium), the attack requires user interaction but has low attack complexity. Currently, there are no known public exploits, Metasploit modules, or significant community discussion, and Cisco has not released patches for these vulnerabilities.
