CVE-2023-20124 is a critical command injection vulnerability in the web-based management interface of several Cisco Small Business RV series routers (RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, RV320, and RV325). This flaw, stemming from improper input validation, allows an authenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges by sending a crafted HTTP request. While requiring valid administrative credentials, a successful exploit could lead to full compromise of the device and unauthorized data access. Cisco has not released patches, and there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion.
