CVE-2023-20006 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software on Cisco Firepower 2100 Series Appliances. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit an implementation error in the hardware-based SSL/TLS cryptography functions by sending crafted SSL/TLS traffic. This can cause the device to unexpectedly reload, leading to a denial of service. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH) due to its network attack vector and high impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
