CVE-2022-44572 is a denial of service vulnerability in the multipart parsing component of Rack, affecting versions prior to 2.0.9.2, 2.1.4.2, 2.2.4.1, and 3.0.0.1, including virtually all Rails applications. An unauthenticated attacker can craft specific input to cause RFC2183 multipart boundary parsing to consume excessive processing time, leading to a denial of service. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High) due to its network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on availability.
