CVE-2022-41879 is a critical prototype pollution vulnerability affecting Parse Server versions prior to 5.3.3 and 4.10.20. An attacker can exploit a compromised Cloud Code Webhook target endpoint to bypass the requestKeywordDenylist option, potentially leading to full compromise of the server. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, resulting in high impacts to confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploits or active exploitation have been observed, and community discussion is minimal, organizations using affected Parse Server versions should upgrade immediately as there are no known workarounds.
