CVE-2022-40987 describes multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities within the DetranCLI command parsing functionality of Siretta QUARTZ-GOLD G5.0.1.5-210720-141020 firmware. Specifically, the vulnerability resides in the function handling 'ddns1|ddns2 username WORD password CODE' commands. This critical vulnerability (CVSS 9.8) allows an unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary command execution by sending specially crafted network packets.
