CVE-2022-38784 is an integer overflow vulnerability in the JBIG2 decoder of Poppler, affecting versions up to and including 22.08.0, as well as various Debian and Fedora Poppler distributions. This flaw, similar to CVE-2022-38171 in Xpdf, can be triggered by processing a specially crafted PDF or JBIG2 image. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), it poses a significant risk, potentially leading to application crashes or arbitrary code execution, requiring user interaction (UI:R) for exploitation.
