CVE-2022-36987 is a medium-severity vulnerability affecting Veritas NetBackup versions 8.1.x through 9.1.0.1, as well as related Flex Appliance and Flex Scale products. An authenticated attacker on a NetBackup Client can exploit this flaw to arbitrarily write files to the NetBackup Primary server. The attack requires low privileges and network access, resulting in a high impact on integrity but no impact on confidentiality or availability.
