CVE-2022-36077 is a sensitive information exposure vulnerability in the Electron framework, affecting versions prior to 21.0.0-beta.1, 20.0.1, 19.0.11, and 18.3.7, particularly impacting Windows users. When Electron follows a redirect to a file:// URL that points to an SMB share, it can inadvertently trigger NTLM authentication, potentially exposing hashed user credentials.
