CVE-2022-2513 is a vulnerability in Hitachi Energy’s PCM600 product and associated Connectivity Packages (ConnPacks) where Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) credentials are stored in cleartext within the PCM600 database and log files. An attacker with access to an exported backup file or administrator access to the PCM600 host machine can obtain these credentials. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 5.5 (Medium), indicating a local attack vector with low complexity, and could lead to unauthorized modifications, reboots, or denial-of-service on IEDs. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage regarding this CVE.
