CVE-2022-23601 is a high-severity Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Symfony PHP framework. A recent change in configuration loading inadvertently disabled the default CSRF protection in forms, making applications vulnerable to CSRF attacks if not explicitly re-enabled. With a CVSS score of 8.8, this vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to achieve high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability through a low-complexity attack requiring user interaction. There is currently no known active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
