CVE-2022-22273 describes a critical OS Command Injection vulnerability (CWE-78) affecting end-of-life SonicWall Secure Remote Access (SRA) products running all 8.x and 9.0.0.5-19sv and earlier versions, as well as older firmware versions of Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 100 series products (9.0.0.9-26sv and earlier). With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands remotely with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
