CVE-2022-20843 describes multiple stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the web-based management interface of Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) Software. An authenticated, remote attacker could exploit these flaws by injecting crafted input into various data fields due to insufficient input validation. This could lead to arbitrary script execution in the user's browser, access to sensitive browser-based information, and in some cases, temporary denial of service to parts of the FMC Dashboard. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 4.8 (Medium) with a low attack complexity, requiring high privileges and user interaction. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
