CVE-2022-20682 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Cisco IOS XE Wireless Controller Software for the Catalyst 9000 Family. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted multicast DNS (mDNS) query encapsulated within a CAPWAP packet. This inadequate input validation can cause the affected device to crash and reload, leading to a high-severity DoS condition.
