27
FAUCET Score

CVE-2021-45606 describes a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability affecting numerous NETGEAR router models, including the R6400, R7000, and RAX200, among others, across various firmware versions. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the vulnerability requires authentication, its network-based attack vector and low complexity make it a significant risk. Currently, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
