A locally authenticated shell user can exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary commands as root due to telnetd.real being shipped with setuid permissions and root ownership. Rated 7.8 HIGH on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability has a low attack complexity and requires local access, but allows for full confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.
