CVE-2020-9497 is a medium-severity information disclosure vulnerability affecting Apache Guacamole 1.1.0 and older versions, as well as various Debian and Fedora distributions. It stems from improper validation of data received from RDP servers via static virtual channels. A successful, high-complexity attack requires a user to connect to a malicious RDP server, which could then send specially-crafted PDUs to disclose memory contents of the guacd process.
